In Kindergarten we learn a lot of basic things. Months, colors, counting and of course we are introduced to the concept of time. There are 60 seconds in a minute, there are 60 minutes in an hour and 5 minutes is not a very long time. That last lesson I learned when I was told to stand outside the classroom for 5 minutes and the teacher said “5 minutes isn’t a very long time, you’ll be fine.” At this time my parents were on vacation and my God Mother had the responsibility of taking me to school. For my own enjoyment I decided that I would hide her bra one morning. As I watched her run around the house looking for her bra, I could not contain my laughter. She was upset of course and exclaimed “We are already 5 minutes late!” to which I excitingly responded “5 minutes isn’t a very long time, you’ll be fine!” I was such a cute child.

The world today is traveling faster and faster. Being on the internet for one minute is a very long time, let alone 5 minutes. Imagine if it took 5 minutes for a webpage to load, that sounds crazy! Today’s infographic gives us a look into how much work can be done in just a minute on the internet.
