As the world becomes more interconnected through technology and the movement of cultures. Throughout your day you are likely to encounter many of people that are not of the same ethnic background as you. You are likely to communicate at some point with these people and you might even have an opportunity to make a new friend. But before you can be their friend you’ve got to initiate communication. You need to say hello!

Bom Dia! You’re in Brazil and you find yourself wearing the same shirt as another person. Sah-wahd-ee-kah! You’ve entered a shop in Thailand and the owner is beaming at you.

You don’t even have to visit another country to say hello in another language. If you over hear someone at the grocery store you can say hello. Saying  is the first step to creating new relationships. In a world so interconnected why wouldn’t we try to get to know as many people as possible while giving ourselves the opportunity to explore countless different cultures.

The trend of this generation is to accept those that are different from yourself. There is no better way to accept someone than by accepting their culture. You will fair so much better in society when you can simply and kindly say hello. [via]
